Founder: Scott Harrison
Scott Harrison is a native of Charleston, South Carolina, a decorated member of the U.S. Army Special Forces and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Estuary Brewing Co. He is also the Founder and Co-Owner of Vail Brewing Company in Vail, Colorado.
Scott has a unique dedication to philanthropy and service to others. Outside of work, Scott spends his time on the water as the Co-Founder and Co-Director of The Drifter Project, a non-profit project with a mission to introduce individuals with physical disabilities to wind-based water sports.
Partner: Sarah Boberschmidt
Sarah, a native of Milwaukee, is an accomplished business manager in the craft brewing industry and more specifically, a founding team member of Vail Brewing Company in Vail Colorado.
Sarah graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 2011 while playing soccer for the university. After college, Sarah was hired to be the founding General Manager of VBC, where she managed two locations and all company employees. She is using her past experiences, continuing to learn and grow, and to run the day to day operations at Estuary!
Head Brewer: Jonathan Rodriguez
Jonathan is the Head Brewmaster at Estuary and began his career in the brewing industry at Old Harbor Brewery in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he was mentored and taught by Carlsberg Group’s own Norwegian Brewmaster, Wolfgang Lindell, one of the world's most prestigious brewers.
In 2018, he joined an elite team of brewers who were recruited throughout the US, to open Guinness's first American taproom & manufacturing facility located in Baltimore, MD. Jonathan quickly rose through the ranks, starting on their 10BBL taproom brewhouse, and eventually brewing on their 100HL (84BBL) production system.
He has also won numerous awards, including a Silver World Cup Beer Medal in the German Style Weizenbock/Weiss Bock Category, Gold and Silver Medals in American IPA and IPA variations, and Wild/Sour Ale categories in NY State Competitions.
Assistant Brewer: Kieran Kelly
Kieran Kelly is a lifelong resident of the lowcountry, having grown up in Bluffton South Carolina before moving to Charleston for school. He studied marine biology and environmental science at the College of Charleston while working in local bars, where he also discovered his passion for craft beer. Kieran pursued home brewing and studied the chemistry of alcohol in school before applying his experience to the 2022 CofC beer competition hosted by Baker and Brewer, which he won with his “kiwing me smalls” kiwi gose
